While the personal front gains from a more expansive world view with less bias towards other countries and cultures, on a professional level overseas-educated Indian students obtain the all important edge with prospective employers viewing them as highly motivated and independent individuals well-equipped for today's increasing multi-cultural work places.

I.E.L.T.S. Training

Studying abroad in English speaking countries requires applicants to pass the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test conducted globally by Cambridge University through the British Council. It consists of 4 modules - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, lasting for 2 hours and 44 minutes. Scores are awarded in the form of bands from 1 to 9. It is mandatory to obtain a minimum of 6 band in each module and an overall higher band depending on the institution concerned. The training requires access to Cambridge University books and audio compact discs and should be holistic, beginning with basic grammar and proceeding to multiple full-scale rehearsals of the test. This entails intensive audio-visual training by specialists lasting for 75 to 100 hours. The training consists of exposure to contemporary English usage, exercises and examinations in the context of the IELTS. There is no effective substitute fast-track, system of training. It would be like teaching how to swim in one hour without a swimming pool. Such regular classes are conducted at the PapyrusClubs - World Study Services. Phone: 4392 3846.
